Hallo, ihr Lieben. Wie ihr von Instagram, Snapchat und Co vielleicht wisst, war ich vergangene Woche mit Styleranking, Platformfashion und dem Hotel Indigo sowie TheGallery in Düsseldorf. Anlass waren einige Bloggerevents, das Programm war wirklich schön, das Wetter hat mitgespielt und es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht. Allerdings kam dann irgendwann unter einigen Bloggern das Thema ‘Schleichwerbung’ zur Sprache. Und genau dazu möchte ich heute ein bisschen aufklären.

                             

Vor ein paar Tagen meinte eine Freundin zu mir, dass die MyLittlePony-Handyhülle, die ich auf Instagram gepostet hatte, doch bestimmt gesponsert gewesen sei. Ich muss ehrlich sagen, ich war im ersten Moment etwas verblüfft. 1. weil… nein, für so was gebe ich tatsächlich Geld aus, dafür muss man mich nicht bezahlen. und 2. ich dachte immer, es sei trennscharf klar und offensichtlich, was gesponsert ist und was eben nicht. Allerdings hatte ich in dem Moment nicht gleich bedacht, dass dieses Thema in der Blogosphäre ja grundsätzlich ziemlich kontrovers diskutiert wird und eben nicht alle Blogger alles gesponserte markieren, vor allem auf Social-Media-Kanälen wie Instagram. Nun erst einmal: ich mache das. Und zwar immer. Jeder Blogpost, jeder Instagram- oder Facebook-Post, von dem ich in irgendeiner Weise profitiere, wird markiert. Warum? a) weil das nun einmal gesetzlich so vorgeschrieben ist. und b) weil ich es nur fair meinen Lesern gegenüber finde.

Grundlegend, das möchte ich auch erwähnen, gehe ich Kooperationen sowieso nur ein, wenn ich hinter einer Marke/einem Produkt stehe und es gut vertreten kann. Pelzmäntel und Co werdet ihr bei mir also nie finden, auch nicht für Geld. Ich muss aber auch ganz ehrlich sagen, ich habe gar keine Angst, durch das ehrliche Angeben der sogenannten Sponsored Posts ‘Leser abzuschrecken’, denn das ist, wie ich vergangene Woche mehrmals gehört habe, eine der größten Sorgen vieler Blogger. Eine weitere Angst ist, Authentizität zu verlieren, wenn man zu- und angibt, dass etwas gesponsert ist…

Aber verliere ich nicht gerade dann an Authentizität, wenn ich darüber nicht die Wahrheit sage, dass man mir einen Artikel bezahlt hat? Den Lesern ist es doch eigentlich sowieso klar, dass jeder Blogger bezahlt wird, es ist ein Job wie jeder andere auch. Von daher doch lieber ehrlich jeden gesponserten Artikel markieren und eben keine Schleichwerbung verbreiten, denn das will doch eigentlich auch keiner, oder?

We had a lot of fun and the weather was awesome. But somewhen some of us started talking about ‘camouflaged avertising’. Today I would like explain you guys my point of view concerning this topic. Some days ago one of my friends mentioned that she was sure that my MyLittlePony phone case, that I posted on Instagram, must have been sponsored. To be honest, first I felt a little surprised. 1. because I actually spend money on things like that, nobody has to pay me for buying this kind of stuff. 2. because I always thought that it would be obvious which of my posts are sponsored and which of them aren’t. But I actually hadn’t considered that this topic is kind of controversially discussed among bloggers and not all bloggers do mark their sponsored posts as such, especially on social media channels like Instagram. First of all: I do. I mark all of them. Every blogpost, Facebook or Instagram post which is sponsored is marked as such. Why? Because 1. this is required by law in Germany and 2. because I think it is just fair to my readers.

Basically – and I want this to be mentioned as well I only collaborate with brands and products that I like and that I want to support. For sure you will never find a single fur coat on my blog, not even for money. And I personally also don’t feel anxious to lose readers because I mark my posts as sponsored if they are. As I heard last week, this is one of the biggest concerns of many bloggers. Another concern is to lose their authenticity.

But wouln’t I rather lose my authenticity if I don’t tell the truth about an article being sponsored? I think that most readers actually know that being a blogger is a job as every other and that you have to earn money with it. So I really prefer to be honest and not to spread camouflaged advertising.
