I think this is a horrible atrocity against humanity worldwide. However what is described in this article is not prostitution anymore than slavery in the South was about people wanting to buy cotton and tobacco.
This is outright slavery, it is and will always be slavery. Nothing devastated me quite so much as the web site described in the last page of the article, the auction site. I like to think that I'm a world-hardened realist, but the prospect that this is happening right now, somewhere on the same Web on which you're writing and I'm reading, chilled me to the core.
Chilled me to the core, nearly made me lose my dinner, and broke my heart. My research into ways I can contribute to the fight against this sort of trafficking begins now. I believe legalization and regulation would mitigate some of this. None of the brothels mentioned were in NV, which I suspect is because they can legally exist, and therefore be somewhat policed.
